NGF is protein that stimulates the growth of certain sensory nerves. It has been used experimentally in treatment of dry eye.

When will it be available? (posted: 3 dec 2004)

Studies are being done with topical application of NGF for severe dry eye conditions. We do not know at this time when it is likely to become available but will post more as more is known.
