| Welcome!
Thanks for visiting LaserMyEye. We are a group of patients here to help and educate others, especially anyone struggling with short- or long-term complications and adverse effects of laser eye surgeries.
Special bulletin
Please report complications and adverse effects to the FDA including chronic dry eye, vision distortions like starbursts, haloes and ghosting, and any other persistent or unexpected problems you may have experienced. Click here for more information.
What's new?
The Lone Dog barks again. After a lengthy canine silence, we have a new article: Our Protectors at the FDA.
BLOGS! This is a new feature on our bulletin board, D'Eyealogues. All D'Eyealogues members are welcome to start a blog. You can use it to keep a diary about your surgery and healing progress, or to post news, abstracts from new studies and so on, or to express your opinions on topics related to laser eye surgery. Make sure you read all our terms of use first (we have a zero tolerance policy for people trying to use the site for commercial purposes, for example) then dive in! It's easy to use and if you have questions just ask.
Where do I start?
Are you experiencing complications or a poor outcome, or simply slow healing after your surgery? Join D'Eyealogues, our community forum, where you'll find others and can get some support, reassurance, information and pointers. Also, we strongly encourage you to read a series of articles written just for you, called the Roadmap for the complications patient. Check out complications section in FAQ for Patients or the Encyclopedia to look up terms or topics. It's a big site and some parts are getting a bit outdated so if you have any questions, please come to D'Eyealogues forums and ask. Got dry eyes? See also the unaffiliated forum started by our founder exclusively for dry eye patients, Dry Eye Talk .
Considering getting LASIK, PRK, Epi-LASIK and looking for information? We're sorry we can't help you with recommendations of a surgeon or clinic. We encourage you to make the FDA your first stop in your research process (click here), and you can probably learn quite a lot from this site too. Our patient forums (D'Eyealogues) function mostly as a support group for people with healing issues or complications, so they may provide a useful counterbalance to the prolific marketing hype about laser eye surgeries.
